In communities like Union County, poverty continues to be a persistent obstacle for individuals and families to overcome. The Community Shelter of Union County is on a mission to prevent this as much as possible by providing food, shelter, and a pathway to self-sufficiency to those experiencing hunger and homelessness in Union County. Our agency values the earnest work Community Shelter has done to assist our neighbors in need and is pleased to announce our continued support in achieving their ambitious goal.
Many misconceptions surround individuals experiencing homelessness and homelessness in general. These misconceptions often initiate stereotypes to continue and raise conflict. Despite how homelessness may be portrayed in the media, individuals facing these difficult times may not be who you expect. Homelessness does not represent one single identity. It can impact men or women, young or old, working, or nonworking.
The Community Shelter would love to meet every hungry or homeless person’s needs, but it cannot be done alone. This organization exists to provide Union County residents structure by offering the following services, including Emergency Shelter, Rehousing, and Food. By providing these services, individuals are guided back to self-sufficiency and independent living quickly.
We are committed to raising awareness in our community and giving our customers, partners, and anybody else that cares the ability to make an impact themselves. We will donate $10 on your behalf to your Current Community Cause campaign for every persona you recommend to us.
